Is it worth it if I only have a few customers waiting at a time?

Absolutely. Even with low volume, Bzz transforms 'dead time' into an active marketing channel. A customer waiting for 10 minutes is a captive audience. By showcasing your Instagram feed or special offers on their phone, you're building brand loyalty and ensuring they come back—which is much more valuable than a one-time transaction.

What does 'concurrent active buzzers' mean?

Concurrent active buzzers are the number of customers currently in your system (not yet marked as ready). Once a buzzer is marked as ready or cancelled, it no longer counts toward your limit. This means you can serve hundreds of customers per day even on even our Standard plan, as long as you don't have more than 10 waiting at any single moment.

Can I change plans later?

Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your dashboard. Changes take effect immediately, and we'll prorate any charges so you never pay for more than you use.

Is there a contract or commitment?

No. All Bzz plans are month-to-month. You're never locked in, and you can cancel anytime with zero penalties or hidden fees. We want you to stay because Bzz grows your business, not because of a contract.

Can I require customers to be at my venue to join the waitlist?

Accepted Answer

Yes — it's called Verified Presence. You can require guests to be physically at your venue (verified by GPS) to join the waitlist, optionally re-check while they wait, or simply be notified when a guest arrives nearby. It's completely optional and off by default. When you turn it on, guests are clearly told and asked for location permission before anything is checked — and if they're visiting a business that doesn't use it, they're never asked for their location at all. You set your venue location with a single tap from your own phone; there's no extra hardware.

Is Verified Presence (GPS) private for my customers?

Privacy comes first. A guest's location is only ever requested when a business actually requires it, and only after they grant permission. We never store a customer's precise coordinates — just whether they're at the venue and roughly how far away. Guests can stop sharing at any time, and 'must stay nearby' only flags a guest to staff; it never removes them automatically.

Can customers book tables online?

Yes! Bzz includes a fully customizable, public-facing Booking Page that allows guests to reserve dates, times, and select seating preferences (e.g. Patio, Indoor, Bar). They get automated confirmation emails and calendar files (Apple/Google) instantly.

Yes. Bzz provides a complete seating engine with advance reservations, a visual week/timeline diary, a live floor plan with occupancy timers, and real-time browser notifications. Plus, unlike competitors that charge flat per-head cover fees, Bzz charges a simple flat subscription fee with unlimited bookings.

During onboarding or within your Settings > Floor Plan panel, Bzz provides a visual, drag-and-drop Floor Plan Editor. You can easily add, rotate, drag, and number round or square tables, specify seating capacities, and arrange layouts to mirror your actual dining room.
