Retekess TD158 Pager Not Responding? Pair It Again
The TD158 uses a SETTING menu with F-codes. Re-pairing a pager is the F2 setting, and the one thing that trips people up is the 3-second window after you lift the pager.
Pair or renumber a TD158 pager

Keep the pagers in the base with the power connected
Retekess says every TD158 setting needs the pagers docked and the base powered.

Press SETTING, then use +/− to reach F2
Press √ to open it.

Type the number (1–999)
This is the number the keypad will call.

Lift the pager and press √ within 3 seconds
The pager beeps and flashes when the number is saved. Too slow? Repeat from step 2.

Press back to leave the menu
Then call the number once to check it.

Beep speed (F4)
Same pattern as pairing: SETTING, +/− to F4, √. Enter 1 (slow), 2 (medium, the default) or 3 (fast), lift the pager and press √ within 3 seconds.
Vibration on or off (F5)
SETTING, +/− to F5, √. Enter 1 for vibration on or 0 for vibration off, lift the pager and press √ within 3 seconds. The pager beeps and flashes to confirm.
Settings are saved per pager, one at a time, so a pager you skipped keeps its old beep or vibration mode.
Switch every pager off at close
Dock the pagers, press 0 and then CALL. Every pager sitting in the base turns off.
Symptom → likely fix
- Pager won't take the new number
- You missed the 3-second window. Lift the pager and press √ straight away.
- Settings don't save at all
- The pagers must be docked and the base powered while you change settings.
- One pager vibrates, the rest don't
- F5 is per pager. Set 1 (on) on each pager you want vibrating.
- Beep too slow to notice in a loud room
- F4: set 3 for the fast beep.
- Pagers stay on overnight
- Dock them, press 0, then CALL.
