Not sure which brand? Start with the symptom
- One pager ignores the keypad
- Re-pair or reprogram that pager with the steps for your model above.
- Won't charge / no light
- Reseat it, try another slot, clean the contacts with isopropyl alcohol, and check the adapter matches the base.
- Lights up but no buzz or beep
- Check the alert-mode setting first. If it is set correctly, the motor or speaker has failed.
- Works at the stand, dies on the patio
- Range. Walls, floors and kitchen steel cut UHF signal. Try the range checker below.
- Pagers go off when nobody paged them
- An all-page code, an out-of-range alert, or a neighbour on your system ID. See the interference guide.
- Dies before the end of service
- Worn battery. Rechargeable cells typically fade after a couple of years of nightly charging.

With Bzz, guests scan a QR code and their own phone becomes the pager: a live place-in-line page in the browser that alerts them when it is their turn. There are no pagers to charge, pair or replace.
Free plan to start. Busier venues move to a paid plan, see pricing.
Frequently Asked Questions
The usual causes are a lost pairing (the pager needs its number again), a charging problem (dirty contacts, wrong adapter, flat battery), an alert mode that was switched to light-only, or a guest standing out of range. Each model guide above has the exact steps for that system.
It depends on the system. JTECH's manual says its US systems use licensed business-band frequencies and that customers may operate under JTECH/HME's nationwide licence or get their own. Check the FCC section of your own manual. Phone-based systems such as Bzz run over the guest's mobile data or Wi-Fi, so no radio licence is involved.
Box ranges are measured in open air. Every wall and floor between the transmitter and the guest shortens it. The pager range checker gives a rough estimate for your building, and a walk test with a real pager is the final word.
A phone-based one has no hardware to break. With Bzz, guests scan a QR code and follow their place in line on a live page in their own browser, which alerts them when it is their turn. Bzz never texts guests, so there are no SMS fees either.
