Retekess TD177 Pager Pairing and Auto-Numbering

The TD177 pairs a whole charging base at once, then numbers every pager in one go. If pagers stopped answering after a settings change, this is the fix.

Pair a TD177 base and number its pagers

  1. 1

    Power everything

Keypad on batteries or mains, and the charging base plugged in.

  2. 2

Set E-01 (system ID) to 001 and E-02 to 001

Press the setting key and enter your keypad password until "E-" shows. Use up/down to reach E-01, press Call and set 001. Do the same for E-02.

  3. 3

On the main screen, enter the system ID (1)

Then press the black raised button on the lower right of the charging base, and press F1.

  4. 4

Watch the pager numbers light up

All pagers in that base light up: they are paired with the keypad.

  5. 5

Auto-number: enter the starting number (1) and press F2

The pagers number themselves one after another.

If you change a pager's working mode after pairing, pair it again or it won't recognise the keypad's call.

What the F keys do

F1 pairs, F2 auto-numbers ("one-key code changing"), F3 group-calls, and F4 is for the Retekess TD112 staff watch.

Keypad shows "P" after power-on and won't respond? Press F4 to return to the main screen.

Symptom → likely fix

Pagers stopped responding after a settings change
Changing the working mode needs a re-pair: system ID on the main screen, base button, F1.
Keypad stuck showing "P"
Press F4 to get back to the main screen.
Numbers out of order
Enter the starting number and press F2 to auto-number again.
Second base won't pair
Enter 002 (not 001) on the main screen before pressing that base's button and F1.

Pagers drop out in some parts of the room? Estimate how far your system really reaches with the pager range checker.
