Retekess TD183 Pager ID Setting and Mute Codes

TD183 pager IDs are set in a pairing mode you can only reach in the first 20 seconds after the base is powered, which is why it so often seems not to work.

Set TD183 pager IDs

  1. 1

Put all pagers on the base, then plug the charger in

The next step has to happen within 20 seconds of power-up.

  2. 2

Press P, enter 999 (P999 shows), press Call

Every pager's ID flashes on its display: you are in pairing mode.

  3. 3

Enter the ID for the top pager and press Call

All docked pagers take that ID for a moment.

  4. 4

Lift the top pager off the base

It beeps and stops flashing: its ID is saved. Repeat steps 3–4 for the next pager.

No key presses for 1 minute and the pagers leave pairing mode. Each pager holds one ID; a new one replaces the old.

Mute codes

  1. 1.Pagers vibrate and flash only: Mute, 999, Call

The display shows S999. Applies to pagers on the charger.

  2. 2.Back to beep, vibrate and flash: Mute, 000, Call

    The display shows S000.

  3. 3.Silence the keypad: Mute, 998, Call

Mute, 997, Call puts the keypad tone back.

Codes only reach pagers that are charging and paired with the keypad. A pager left on a table keeps its old setting.

Power off

In call mode, enter 999 and press Call to power off every charging pager. Unplug the charger to switch off the keypad.

Warranty

Retekess says its paging systems carry a 2-year warranty. For a damaged pager or a system that won't work, contact Retekess support.
